Review Video is a Must Have for Bringing in Customers
Review videos can aid a company in creating customer confidence in the product or service they wish to sell.
When a customer can feel confident in the company they’re considering to give business, they’ll grab the phone or come in the door.
When checking out an unfamiliar business or product, a savvy customer will often consult reviews on the internet. While many will go directly on over to Yelp (or some other review service of site), often they will do a Google search. Most times the search will be made up of this search string:
- city or other geographical location name
- the type of business or service they are looking for
- and, the word “review”
Will a searching client find your business if they search using that 3-part keyword phrase?
A review video can assist them in finding you.
As we have noted prior, over 92% of Google searches do not get past the results on page 1. So it is a requirement that a business get ranked on Google’s first page. For several reasons, a great way to get listed is to have a video. Not only is it typically easier to get a video ranked (if you know what you’re doing), but the YouTube thumbnail that shows on the page makes your video stand out from the rest of the text-based listings on that page.
A review video is a terrific way to help your business put its best foot forward. If the business has some less than stellar reviews on Yelp or other service, the review video should have only the best reviews in it. The reviews shown are totally honest, but the review video itself could obviously not include negative reviews.
And when potential customers see a review videos with a string of great testimonials, they are more likely to pick up the phone and contact that business.
Let’s show an example of a well executed review video.
In this video for example, the Google keyword search term we are trying to rank for is “sf bay area chimney cleaner review”. After being uploaded just a few days ago to YouTube, this review video it is already ranking on page 1 of the search engine results. In fact, it’s the 7th ranked entry in the organic (non-paid) search engine results. Note how the video thumbnail draws the eye.
Here’s the video itself as seen on YouTube:
The client would love to get his video ranked even higher on page 1 of course, so we’ll be working on that. In addition this review video will climb up in rankings for other search terms for which it is not already on page 1, such as “San Francisco Bay Area chimney cleaner review,” “Bay Area chimney sweep review,” etc.
